Dhaniya Burfi recipe is healthy and delicious sweet recipe for Lord Krishna’s birthday.Dhaniya Burfi is easy to make at home and prepared specially for Janmashtami Prasad.
In this recipe I used dry coriander powder,pure ghee, coconut powder, sugar syrup and muskmelon seeds.It is so tasty as well as healthy too.So on the festival of Janmashtami make this burfi with Nariyal Paag and Makhan Mishri for recipes you can refer my other posts.
Here is simple step by step recipe.
So, Let’s Start Now,
Coriander powder – 1 cup
Grated coconut(dry) – 1 cup
Sugar – 1 cup
Water – ½ cup
Ghee – 1 tbsp
Green cardamom powder – ½ tsp
Muskmelon seeds -¼ cup
1.Heat a wok and add ghee and coriander powder, roast for 5 minutes on medium heat.Transfer it to a bowl and keep aside.
2.In a grinder add grated coconut and grinde coarsely to powder form.
3.Dry roast coconut powder on slow flame for 2 minutes.
4.Now dry roast muskmelon seeds till it become fluffy and little brown.
5.Boil sugar and water in a wok, after first boil reduced the heat and boil the sugar syrup till it gets thickened and makes a two string syrup.
6.To check the syrup take a drop of syrup between your two fingers and strech the fingers, if it makes two threads then the thickness of syrup is accurate.
7.Now add roasted coriander powder, coconut powder, muskmelon seeds and cardamom powder in sugar syrup.
5.Mix well and cook till the mixture absorb the sugar syrup and reached the desired consistency and after cooling it will become solid.
6.Turn off the heat and spread the mixture on greased tray, let the mixture to cool down it takes around 10 minutes.
7.Now cut the burfi in desired shape.
8.Delicious Dhaniya burfi is ready for bhog prasad.
