Here is simple step by step recipe.

INGREDIENTS
Grated coconut(dry) – 2 cup
Sugar – 1 cup
Water – 1 cup
Ghee – 1 tsp
Green cardamom powder – ½ tsp
Garnishing
Chopped cashew nuts – 1 tbsp
Chopped pistachios – 1 tbsp
METHOD
1.Heat a wok and dry roast the grated coconut for 2-3 minutes on medium heat.
2.Boil sugar and water in a wok, after first boil reduced the heat and boil the sugar syrup till it gets thickened and makes a two string syrup.
3.To check the syrup take a drop of syrup between your two fingers and strech the fingers, if it makes two threads then the thickness of syrup is accurate.
4.Now add dry roasted coconut, 1tsp ghee and cardamom powder.
5.Mix well and cook till the mixture absorb the sugar syrup and reached the desired consistency and after cooling it will become solid.
6.Turn off the heat and set the mixture on greased tray,sprinkle chopped cashew nuts and pistachios, let the mixture to cool down it takes around 10 minutes.
7.Now cut the burfi in desired shape.
8.Delicious burfi or paag is ready for bhog prasad.
